This week the eleven metres high sculpture Viva la Vida by Spanish artist Ripollés was placed in Kerkrade; in front of the Rodahal. The sculpure symbolises the new Kerkrade and represents hope, flair and community, says mayor Jos Som.

The official opening will take place on July 27. Artist Ripollés will be present.
